Meet Hyacinth
Owner and CEO of The Laundry Basket®
A US Army Veteran and Wife, Hyacinth owns and operates The Laundry Basket®. She has her Masters of Business Administration and is a mom of two. When she’s not running the show, she loves traveling, reading, or playing games with her family.
It all started in 2022.
I was standing in my friend’s living room, and there were clothes thrown everywhere. Underwear on the lamp, pants in the sink, shoes without a partner.
She told me she was tired, and in no mood to do laundry. There just wasn’t enough energy left at the end of the day. She even admitted that she would rather (and did) buy new clothes instead of washing the ones she already had. Which of course only created more laundry. A vicious cycle of never-ending dirty clothes.
I understood. Who wants to do chores when they’re exhausted?
But when she turned to me and said "I wish that someone could just do it for me,” the lightbulb went off.
“Let me do it for you!” That’s when I got my wings and became her Laundry Fairy Godmother. That’s the moment that started it all.
She was relieved — and absolutely beaming. I could tell a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. To this day, it’s one of my proudest, happiest moments. There’s truly nothing like helping others find freedom and peace of mind.
